‘Basic’ plugin everyone should have installed

There are several plugins that I consider to be basic to every WordPress installation and this is one of them. A database needs maintenance to stay healthy and efficient (speed). The plugin also offers image compression which I don’t need (i always optimize my images in Gimp) and a caching system. Previously I used a seperate caching plugin (also a basic plugin), but that isn’t necessary anymore. Somehow I think the functions of this plugin should be part of the WP core, but as this is not the case, I suggest to install this one to keep your site healthy.
