The option to create a Basic Imagebrowser is not working. I’ve tried playing with various settings but nothing works. I’m not sure why this is, but if I hold my mouse over the “next” button where it will show the URL of the next image, it appears to be pointing to the wrong location as if it was looking for a page not an image. However, if I do a Thumbnail Gallery it will point to the correct location where the images are and load the picture. So this might be causing the problem…. how can I fix it?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @av8nlvr,

It seems that it is the expected behavior or by design, the URL will not link to another page, but the same page and the photo will change using ajax.
Is it possible for you to try again, but try clicking directly on the arrow?

Are you able to see the same behavior here in our demo?

There is for sure some usability issue since the whole button is not clickable, but please let us know if that works, We’ll be happy to report anything out of place to the developers.

You can also try to disable “Ajax pagination” on the “Customize Display Settings tab while inserting your gallery.

    More information here: https://www.imagely.com/docs/imagebrowser/

Please, keep us posted, we are happy to help!

When I hit “next” on your demo I do not see another picture but under that it says “Image 2 of 16”. Mine does not even do that. It just does nothing. I did try disabling ajax. And clicking on different parts of the link area.

    Hi @av8nlvr,

I have verified and in my case both the counter and the images from our demo showcase https://www.imagely.com/wordpress-gallery-plugin/basic-imagebrowser-gallery/ changed

Can you please let us know what device and browser are you using for your testings and also if you have tried to navigate using the browser’s incognito window to avoid any conflicts with the browser’s addons?

Also, can you please try to insert the gallery to a regular page or post to see if the navigation will work there?

I tried several browsers – Firefox, Chrome, Edge – and it is the same on all. I opened it in Firefox in a private window without extensions working. On your demo I see the counter change but not images after the first one. The device is a desktop pc running the latest version of windows 10. I also tried it on my android phone, Galaxy S9. Same result.

I did notice that even though there is no picture showing on the page (after the first one), if I click where the picture should be and go into the lightbox mode then it shows up and all of them are there if I click the arrow in the lightbox. If I exit the lightbox, the picture I was looking at is on the page, but if I click the next arrow on the page it goes to the next one on the counter and the next picture does not show up. This is also the behavior using basic imagebrowser on my own site. I even tried making a plain test page with nothing else on it.

Ok, Thanks. I did file a bug report.

    Hello @av8nlvr,

Thank you so much we received your bug report.
It seems that we already reported a bug back to our developers and they are tacking a look.

Since your problem seems to be different from the one we are experiencing in our end, we already provide you some suggestions. One of them is to force SSL on your site to check if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please try to remove and re-install our plugin.

    Many thanks!
