    I haven’t updated my podcast in a while but I received a message from Apple saying my podcast had been removed because of errors.

    I validated the feed and found a few errors (like changing my categories and maturity rating) and fixed them but this one below I’m still miffed about.

    ====
    WARNING: The new-feed-url tag is intended to redirect applications that are trying to poll your feed, so if your feed doesn’t live at https://tonyteegarden.com/podcast/feed/, then this is an issue. Otherwise, click here to validate the new URL.
    ====

    I’m not sure what is wrong exactly in order to fix it inside of PowerPress.

    Any help is appreciated.

    P.S. I validated the feed via: https://castfeedvalidator.com and realize that also my artwork needs to be updated too for the right image. Then I can re-submit the feed to apple and get my podcast back up (because I’m relaunching it)

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    The iTunes new feed URL tag is set in your feed. This isn’t necessarily a problem but unless you just moved your feed URL within the last couple weeks, you should probably remove it.

    You can do this by going to PowerPress >> Settings, Advanced Mode >> Apple tab >> Set iTunes New Feed URL link; click the link; click OK; completely blank out the New Feed URL field and click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.

    I’ve created a slightly modified version of your artwork that conforms to Apple’s spec. You can download it here:

    Follow the steps in this video to update the artwork in your PowerPress settings:

    Let me know when that’s done and I’ll check the feed again to see if it’s validating OK.

    You’re an absolute life saver. THANK YOU for doing all of that.

    I just updated everything as you pointed out and the feed validates it looks like.

    So at this point I have to re-submit it back to Apple for it to go back live.

    If you’ll check on your side that it validates just to be sure.

    Thanks again man!

    Actually I do see this one error at the very bottom of “website test”

    X WARNING: Your RSS feed should be linked in the head of your podcast website, using a link tag.
    X Successfully completed episode website tests.

    The RSS head-link warning is more of a suggestion than a hard requirement. One thing to check: go to PowerPress >> Settings, Advanced Mode >> Feeds tab and look for the Feed Discovery header. Check the box next to “Include podcast feed links in HTML headers.” and click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. Clear any site caches, if applicable. That should put the RSS link into your WordPress site’s header.

    I did that and cleared the cache but I’m still getting it.

    But I’m also trying it immediately after doing it.

    I’ll let it sit till tomorrow morning and validate it again to see if it takes.

    But overall that shouldn’t keep me from re-submitting my podcast to Apple right?

    No, the HTML head-link thing is not required by Apple.
