Basic Facebook app development for WP integration

  • I’m wanting to hook up a WordPress site with a Facebook page, for native like/share functionality and automatic post updates.

    The official FB plugin for wordpress tells me to make a developers app and input the app id and secret, no problems there.

    But I have no clue what settings to give the app, since I just want a simple fan page integration and don’t understand how to translate this into the developers environment. It all seems overly complicated but I’m sure it’s a quick fix and I would appreciate some guidance.
