Basic Child Theme for WP 4.3.x Standards for ComicPress?

  • I see the Blank Child theme for ComicPress 4.0+ on the main site.

    However it does not conform to the new recommendations for WordPress.

    Is there an updated basic Child Theme?
    I tried creating one and while I thought I had it working, there are all sorts of issues happening so I wanted to confirm that it was a Child Theme situation versus a WP MultiSite Enabled 4.3.1 issue.

    Have ComicPress 4.3 theme and ComicEasel 1.9.8 plugin installed.
