    Thanks for the quick upgrade!

Now I’ve been struggling all day with trying to get upload to work. Whenever I upload, the dropbox server replies with Internal Server Error (500). The upload progress bar reaches 100% but I don’t get any upload mail and nothing happens in the dropbox account. Folder and file display work very well in WP if I manage them from Dropbox.

Am I using an insufficient Dropbox account type?

It should work with any personal Dropbox account, paid or free.

Do you have any more detailed information on the error or a page where I can see the error?

    Thanks!

    Certainly!

I’ve set up a page for you to check here: https://internt.snso.se/dropboxtest

However, since the “Allow users to upload when not logged in” check-box does not stick in 2.1, I get a “no access” error instead of internal server error when I try the page without having logged in first.

Thank you! I’ve just pushed a minor release (2.1.1) which may or may not fix your original error, but I know it does fix the “Allow users to upload” check-box (oops).

Please try again and let me know.

Ok, now the behaviour is the same regardless if I’m logged in or not on to https://internt.snso.se/dropboxtest, internal server error 500.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have some kind of negative feedback in the user interface?

I’m not able to recreate the error you’re getting (on my server) so this makes tracking it down difficult. In fact it works just fine on my sever which makes it frustrating.

Just curious – have you set a “Root Folder” in the settings? Could you try saving that setting again?

Hi, I thought that you might be able to do some http tracing with my server and jump to some conclusions…

The current display setting are root=/ and I have no subdirectories at all. The test page is just [bex_folder][bex_upload].

My impression is that my dropbox account is disabled in some way, but I don’t really know enough about this to be able to formulate a precise question to dropbox.

If I google on internal server error and dropbox, I can see that they had such problems last year regarding file or folder sharing. My account has had a share once, but not any more, and that might be a reason. Another possible reason might be that their antivirus software can have locked the account (for no good readon) but it works well through the web UI.

I’m greatful for any clue that you can provide that would make the problem easier to solve.

This week I pushed a new version of the plugin (v2.1.2) that addressed a file upload problem. I don’t know if it was related to the problems you faced, but it may be worth giving it a try again. Thanks!
