    Hi,

    Thanks for the great plug-in!

I created a Custom Post Type “Cases”, so if I create a case it’s listed under /cases/case-1. However, if I’m navigating to /cases I can’t edit the page.

Have searched for an hour on Google, but can’t seem to find a nice way to add a listing-page under the base URL of a Custom Post Type.

I am using Divi. Help would be greatly appreciated!

If you haven’t set “has archive” to true, that’d be a good first place start if you’re wanting a standard archive for the base URL.

If you’re wanting a customizable page that you could drop Divi builder modules and whatnot into, perhaps leave “has archive” set as false, and then create a standard page named “cases” and go from there. I believe WordPress should be smart enough to know that base “/cases/” would be a page, and then “/cases/case-1” would be the single post types.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your quick reply! Setting “Has archive” results indeed to an archive page, but having a page with the same URL as the CPT doesn’t result in a customizable page.

However, if I’m adjusting the “Cases Archivepage” in the Theme Builder it’s possible to customize the page.

Now it works, thanks a lot. Keep up the great work!

    Yep.

To be clear “have archive” being true would make “/cases/” show all the cases as if the blog url. Setting it to false would free it up to be a page. However, it looks like Divi Theme Builder integrates in with the archive version and offers some customization. So you’re good to go.
