    Hi Daan,

I installed CAOS (free option) and on the Advanced settings page where it says Serve from CDN, since I use Cloudflare, I added cloudflare.thegardeningpal.com, according to the example (cdn.mydomain.com).

But when I ran GTMetrix, the Waterfall tab showed that to have failed. What is the base URL? cdn.mydomain.com didn’t work.

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.

You don’t have to use that option. CloudFlare is a DNS CDN and already deals with everything through your own domain.

I’m curious, where did you get that URL? Did Cloudflare provide that to you, and if so, where?

That url is shown on the CAOS settings page as an example, Daan.

I meant cloudflare.thegardeningpal.com, I thought that was obvious.

Reason why I ask, is that Cloudflare usually doesn’t require the setup of a subdomain to use their CDN. Unless I’m missing something?

I understood exactly what you asked and answered it. Here is a more detailed answer.

When you go to the Advanced settings tab, for the option that says Serve Fron CDN, it the slot, an example is given for the base URL and the example is cdn.mydomain.com.

So if that is not the right syntax, then it shouldn’t give that as an example.

    That’s the right syntax.

Cloudflare doesn’t require setting up a subdomain to use their CDN.

In other words, nothing needs to be rewritten in CAOS (or anywhere) for the files to be picked up from the CDN. Cloudflare takes care of that through their DNS.

To be clear, you don’t have to enter any CDN URL there when using Cloudflare.
