Barebones 2 Column Theme?

Hello! I’m new to wordpress and a little overwhelmed with all the themes. I feel like I could search for a week and barely touch the surface, so I was hoping maybe someone more experienced with WP would be able to point me in the right direction.

I’m looking for a barebones, very basic two column theme, with a simple header, content on the left, and sidebar on the right. I’ve found a few so called barebones themes, but they’re still more than I want. I just want the content on the left, and a sidebar on the right with links to about, archives, etc.

Instead of taking a theme and making it simple, I’d rather start with a super simple theme, including as barebones a css file as possible. I don’t care about widgets or anything beyond just simple html and css.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
