    hi

    a couple of weeks ago I changed the settings of my Notification bar from appearing on every page to just a landing page (first page of interaction) as it was just too annoying seeing it on every page while browsing.

    As a result, it stooped showing up on my desktop PC, even in the preview mode, but it is still coming up on the phone.

    Could you please advise what went wrong and how to fix it.

    I have Windows 10, 64 bits.

    Yes. they are.

    it started showing up again but inconsistently.

    Do you have a user guide explaining each setting and what it does?

    Before, when I opened my website in a new tab on my PC, the notification bar was showing every time. Now it shows up but not every time.

    Perhaps I have some settings wrong, but all I changed was to appear only on the landing page, not every page as people are browsing.

    yes I can – but there is a lot of information

    Could you be more specific please – what do you think is the problem? what am I looking for and where? I haven’t installed any new plugins recently so it’s not a plugin clash – as I mentioned, this issue arose after I have made a few settings changes.

    Are my current settings correct?

    when I open the browser console there is tonnes of data – plus it doesn’t look anything like in your help article.

    I have no clue what I am looking for.

    I use Firefox.

    Correct -I first enabled it but then disabled as there was nothing I could do to ix the issue.

    you keep going in circles instead of answering my questions, which is not helpful at all.

    As I said in my post above – I don’t understand or follow the tonne of technical codes and jargon, so this article is of no use to me.

    I asked you – what is exactly that I need to look for? I have seen this article before, but it is of no use to me so I have asked for your help on this forum directly , which you refuse to offer and keep sending me to that article.

    I don’t understand the coding, I do not follow, when I opened that debug page this is not what I saw. It is confusing to me. I don’t know what I am looking for on this very long page of codes.

    You asked me for the screenshot of the settings page – which I have provided to you and you have seen it. Still, you did not answer my question if all the settings are correct or not.

    so – for the last time, can you please advise:

    1. Are the setting of the plugin correct? if not – what needs to be changed?
    2. If they are correct – what is the problem and how can I fix it without going through your article about checking the codes which is of no use to me. I am not a developer and don’t do coding, as I have already said. Your article is for developers.

    If you can’t provide a troubleshooting that a NON DEVELOPER person can follow, that’s fine, I will leave it and find another plugin.

    I believe I said very clearly what I am trying to achieve i.e. what the issue is:

    Your plugin notification bar has suddenly STOPPED showing on a computer (PC) while it is still showing normally on a phone.

    what I’m “trying to achieve” as you put it – is to bring it back to the computer screen. I can’t say this more clearly than that. I’m not sure which part of this statement remains invisible to you.

    I have provided the settings which you can’t even identify whether they are correct or not. Your keep referring me to your technical article which means you don’t have the knowledge to help me identify and fix this issue. This means that you are a plugin forum support not the plugin developer, and on top of that a very unhelpful and abrupt one.

    yes, as per your advice I will uninstall your plugin and find another one. I’m sure the developers will be thrilled with your advice.

    I’d like to give you my final feedback on your support on this forum which is unfortunately very poor.

    When you asked me for the screenshot of the settings which I have provided, and then you replied that you ” don’t know if these settings are correct to achieve what I want” – while I stated very clearly was to bring the bar back to appear on a PC which has stopped after I changed some settings – you demonstrated a lack of knowledge of how this plugin works, and no willingness to help me resolve this issue apart from referring me to a highly technical and complex troubleshooting article.

    That’s unfortunate and most regrettable, as usually the quality of plugin support on the WordPress forums is very good.

    The solution was in fact, very simple, which you didn’t think about.

    I just had to test several options as I didn’t remember which were the settings I had changed, and there were several possible combinations. Finally I got the original settings and the bar came back to my computer.

    I am still looking for another notifications bar plugin, hopefully by a developer who offers quality support. I just wanted to give you my feedback.
