I am in the Webriti Banner section and try to upload my (correctly sized) banner. Each and every time I get an HTTP error. When I use the browser uploader instead I get an Internal Server Error:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Please advice if this is a problem with my server/hosting, or if it is theme related? When I upload images to my blog I indeed often get HTTP errors, and this is the first time since I am using WordPress. How can this be avoided?

    Thank you!
    Peter Fritz Walter

Sorry I had to change my profile because of a password reset. So my answer to the question is here:

In the meantime I have changed the theme but found out that I still receive HTTP Error and cannot upload images to my WordPress blog. I wrote to the server support now.

I found on forums this may be related to the wrong PhP version or wrong htaccess settings. If you happen to know, kindly tell me. Thank you!

    Hi

    Have you changed the theme.

    Thanks

Yes, but the problem persisted. It is related to hosting WordPress on any server other than WordPress.com. I have had this problem since more than a decade and will now give up to host my sites and pay for hosting (which is so faulty for WordPress, including all the maintenance you have to do, while on WordPress.com all is automatic and no maintenance needed).

    Please close this thread.
    Best regards,
