Banner not showing after updating to 2.2.0

Looks like your banner is showing now. I just pushed an update that will fix your newsletter link. Also, since the banner is now being placed on the page via one single javascript file, your browser will try to cache it, so please make sure you wipe your cache in order to see your changes, or when you reload the page use control+shift+R (windows) or command+shift+R (mac).

I just tested on Chrome, Firefox, and Safari and I am able to see your banner. You may want to try a different browser, or completely clear all cache and history, maybe even open up the page in Incognito Mode and see if you can see it.

I don’t know. I wiped all history and cache, tried the same on 4 different devices and I don’t see the banner.

Other people I’ve asked don’t see the banner as well. I’m not sure what to say hehe.

I’m not sure what to tell you. I’ve seen the banner on your site, and i looked at the javascript loaded with the site and its the latest version and you’re Newsletter link has also been fixed.

I would try to removed the text from the settings page, save, place the text back, save, clear cache and then reload the page.

I’ve just released an update, version 2.2.2, which should force your cache to clear for the new version. Please update and let me know if this fixes your issue.

Hey @rpetersen29 I wish I could tell you it works. I updated. Cleared cache, deactivated – activated the plugin, tried changing, deleting and reentering the text… No luck. I could send you admin login details in some private way if you are keen on investigating more.

@hayleen I can guarantee you that the plugin works and it showing on your site, and that it is not showing on your devices because you haven’t completely cleared your cache. I added a version number to my javascript file to make sure it isn’t cached on each new version, however you have some plugin that optimizes how scripts are loaded and it strips the script of the version number, i can see that in your source code, so you browser cache is persisting.

Hi I also have problem on using simple banner, I just activated the plugin on my site and it shows “undefined” on my site. I hope you could help me too. Thank you!

Hey @rpetersen29, sure I’ll drop you an email. Today I saw the banner twice but only briefly. Of course, tried deleting cache a few times, and I also asked other people to check but they don’t see the banner so it might be this plugin you mentioned. I’m curious to know more about that.
