Banner not displaying in Edge

Also not showing on Version 84.0.522.59 (Official build) (64-bit).

I typically work in Chrome, so didn’t notice when the banner was no longer displaying in Edge. The last time we checked, it was fine on Edge and Chrome.

If you enable the banner and set it to hidden, I can take a look later today when i have access to a windows computer.

@rpetersen29 I did what you said. Just wanted to add that changing the banner position had no effect in Edge.

So i’m not sure exactly what the issue is yet, but I’m on Chrome and not currently seeing the banner’s HTML or javascript file in the header. I’ve also seen a few jQuery errors in the console. This leads me to believe you have a plugin that “bundles” or “optimizes” Javascript. These types of plugins can greatly inhibit plugins that interact directly with the HTML on the page. If possible, I would find a way to exclude simple-banner scripts from the bundling and also jQuery if possible. Edge’s latest version is essentially Chrome, they use the same engine underneath, so it should show properly, but cache and error handling may differ between the two.

@rpetersen29 thank you very much for your input. I will take a look at how we can do what you suggest.

@rpetersen29 we disabled JS processing and skipped deferring the jQuery library. The banner is now visible on Edge.
