    Hello,

I just updated to PostX 2.9.12 with no problems. At first everything seemed as usual – I got a banner in the admin area advertising a “Summer Sale” and I dismissed it. Unfortunately that doesn’t stay dismissed. When I reload the admin area it pops up again (together with the question “Want to help make PostX even more awesome? Allow PostX to collect non-sensitive diagnostic data and usage information.” – that I also already answered).

I general I really think that this ad is pretty annoying – but now with the thing not being able to disable… Are you serious?

    Hello @mathse ,

Sorry for the experience. Usually, if you click on “Allow” the banner should disappear for the next 5 years and if you click “No thanks” the banner should be gone for the next 90 days that’s how it was implemented. The same goes for the banner which shows discounts and offers and it shouldn’t appear within next month.

Caching plugin or server cache might be responsible for this issue. Do you have Memcache or any kind of caching plugin active on your site? If so, it might be caused by caching plugin. Can you please provide me the name of your caching plugin or which server cache are you using on your site? Please provide me with some screenshots so that we can create the issue on our environment and provide a permanent fix.

We can provide you with custom CSS to remove the banner permanently if your caching plugin still causing this issue. Let me know your thoughts.

    Hello @rafiqulsakib and @azimkhan123,

I use an nginx caching plugin – but it is disabled for the whole “wp-admin area” (but I purged the cache anyways with no luck). I also use a redis cache (also purging this with no luck). Do you need write permissions to a folder to store the changes or are the settings stored in the database? Since I have restrictive permissions set on the server I basically just allow writing into the upload/ folder.

Nevertheless this setup runs fine for years and I just changed PostX today and since then I have this issue.

Thanks for your help – maybe you have more hints for me?

    Hello @mathse ,

We just released an update to remove the banner. Can you please update your plugin now? If the issue still persists, purge your cache. Otherwise please contact your server to clear the cache for your site. That will solve the issue permanently.

Can you please change the rating as it will create a negative impact on our plugin? It will raise questions for our support team as well. Hopefully, we provided you with the support as required. And Hope you understand our situation ??
