• Updated to Longevity 1.4.8 this morning, now the 2560×720 banner width is too short, and results in grey banding on each side of the banner. Worked fine before today. Help?

    You have probably updated WP to 4.8 as well I assume?
    It’s a typical issue that occurs with the text widget

    Please share your site URL and we can take a look at your case.

    Yes. WP is version 4.8.

    You can see it clearly on the banner image on the static homepage at https://www.returningspring.com. I tried the fix for the text widget, and it didn’t work.

    Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    thanks for the URL, I see what’s causing the issue.
    It’s due to Jetpack downsizing your images.

    Can you switch off the Photon module in Jetpack settings:

    Jetpack / Dashboard / Image Performance (make sure it’s switched off)

    It will solve this issue.

    Bingo. That fixed it. Thanks!

    I’m having the same issue but I don’t even have jetpack installed yet. The website is https://www.lianagoffman.com/wp

    Hi,

    you have used some inline css and width height in image. and the image you have used is too small. So please add image like following as in demo.

    <img src="https://demos.shapedpixels.com/longevity-pro/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2015/07/fp-banner.jpg" alt="front page banner" />

    Thanks

    Thank you for your prompt response. However, I wasn’t able to understand what you meant and less know how to do it. But it triggered a thought in my mind and I was able to find the setting I needed to change. Here is what I had to do.

    Thanks again.
