    When I created a child theme a banner image showed up. It is the screenshot image for the theme. I can’t find it to get rid of it or to put something else in the widget-banner. There is no content in the widget-banner and when I try to put something else in there it does not show up.

    The update to version 1.1.2 has inserted a standard theme banner – and I can’t get rid of it.

    https://www.healthadvocatecode.org

    I don’t want any banner at all. I’ve tried to replace the banner with a blank replacement in Customize>Header Image, I’ve tried “Hide Image” in Customize>Header Image and I’ve tried uploading a blank replacement through a text insert into the banner widget – but the standard theme banner won’t go away.

    If I can’t get rid of it, I’ll have to change themes… So – please – how can I delete the header banner?

    You can hide the banner image by adding this code to the theme stylesheet (style.css)

    #pref-banner {
    display: none;
    }

    But this does not allow you to put in a banner of you own.

    Hi

    It seems you had fixed you issue, we didn’t see any theme content on site you provided https://healthadvocatecode.org/.

    If still you are getting problem, don’t hesitate to came back to use. We will be more than glad to assist you.

    Thanks

    How about if I just want to change the banner image instead of hiding it?

    I too have the same issue. Apparently with the newest update it either overwrote the setting or something was changed without notification. My site uses the slider banner for the home page. all other pages are without a banner except the contact page. It has it’s own separate banner.

    Currently I’ve done the above suggestion to get rid of this new issue but it also removes my contact page banner. How can I fix this so that it goes back to the way it was originally set up?

    Hi nppbc,

    Default banner image comes on handy when there is no any widgets placed on banner widget areas.

    if you want to keep widets on specific pages then there is awesome jetpack module that will help you on this.
    here is the reference tutorial for this

    https://jetpack.me/support/widget-visibility/

    Thanks

    I understand what the banner is etc but did something change with the last update that now requires a banner to be on every page? We do not want a banner on every single page, only on two, the home page (slider) and contact page (map). All other pages we wanted no banner.

    BTW, We are using the Jetpack module but the theme defaults the New York street image on the pages that we don’t want banners at all.

    There is no any required condition to keep banner image on every pages. As soon you placed widgets on banner area you default banner will be removed.

    if still you are facing the same problems please provide your site url so we can check the exact issue.

    Thanks

    As far as the banner image is concerned, I’ve only got an image on two pages using the Jetpack/Visibility function. I have nothing for the remaining pages as I do not want images on any of those.

    Hi There,

    If you do not want to keep the banner image in any pages, then you can follow the following steps to fix your issue:
    Go to Dashboard => Appearance => Widget => Banner => And keep the text widget inside the banner widget and do not keep the content and title in the widget => Then save it.

    We hope this will be helpful to you, if not then please let us know.

    Thanks

    Hi nppbc,

    Sorry for the trouble, we will soon release our theme fixing this issue, most probably today.

    Thanks for your cooperation, we really appreciate your comments and patience.

    Thanks

    Hi nppbc,

    We had updated our theme to latest version. Before updating to latest version please make a backup of your site so you can take action if disaster happens.

    Thanks

    Updated first thing this morning. Changes… banner on the home page, no banner on the rest of the pages regardless of what I place in the widget area. I’ve removed the CSS rule above which should have brought back the image in the banner on the contact page.

    I do not understand why you marked this topic as resolved when it is not. The issue is still there. Further more, you didn’t even check to see if the issue was corrected prior to marking it resolved.

    Hi there,

    You will find setting to display banner images on all innner pages, simply from banner setting on customizer.

    After doing this jetpack widget visibility will works perfectly.

    Thanks
