Banner doesn’t show at all

    Hey there!
    I just installed and activated the plugin. Unfortunately the cookie-banner doesn’t appear at all. I checked that the cookie bar is currently “on” and tried out different styles (banner, pop-up, widget). I tried different browsers (firefox, safari, chrome). I’m currently using: WordPress 5.3.1 running starter theme. I am on a mac book operating system is Mojave Version 10.14.6.

    Could you please help me to make it work?

    Hi @jennykieshauer,

    Please verify if the wp_footer() hook is called in the template file of your active theme.

    thank you very much for your answer. I am not a programmer. But I think it is. In the footer.php there is a line saying: <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    If this is not what is needed, could you please tell me how to make it right?

    Are you sure that you have the cookie bar enabled under Cookie Law Settings > General?

    yes the cookie bar is currently “on”.

    dear @webtoffee,
    under Cookie Law Settings > General > Cookie Bar
    there are several items set as follows:

    Cookie Bar is currently: ON
    Cookie bar as: Banner
    Cookie Bar will be shown in: Footer
    On load: Sticky
    On hide: Animate
    Auto-hide(Accept) cookie bar after delay? NO
    Auto-hide cookie bar if the user scrolls ( Accept on Scroll )? NO

    I assume the first item (Cookie Bar is currently: ON) is what you mean. So ON = Yes. Correct?
