Banner – can I add a button / links?

    Basically, I have an image on the front page (added through Jetpack Image widget) serving as a page-wide banner. And I would like to add a Call-to-Action button right onto that image, as well as maybe two-three links. The layout of the pic is such, that it begs for such a change.

    Is it possible at all? If positive, I would be grateful for a suggestion about where to start looking for a way to do so.

  • you would have to use the image as a background image in a text widget with the button code on top of that using HTML and CSS to position it. Might want to look online for adding a button on top of photo, but also for background images…there should be a lot of tutorials for this one.

    Thanks a lot for the pointer!

    I’ve tried to do this with an absolute-position div with some amount of success (unsurprising with the miserable level of coding I’m capable of :).

    I’ll try some more, and either post what works for me, or close the topic.
