    not necessary, it does not work it means that the remote site might be clearing the referrer on their end before redirecting to your site.

    Referrer is not 100% fool proof. Also blogspot uses localize domain name as well besides .com

    Okay, thanks for the info. Does the dot in the URL need to be escaped? for example: domain\.com

    Hi I’m getting loads of referrals in my GA like floating-share-buttons.com site9.free-floating-buttons.com etc etc loads of them.

    If purring their URL into the banned referrers bit isn’t fool proof then how do you find out the other information for the alternative ways of using your plug in.. total novice to this!
