Hello. This is a bug that I’ve just noticed.

I registered an account on my site with a username and email address. After that, I’ve created a password so I can log in. Login success!

I’ve intentionally suspended that account so I’m not able to log that account anymore. Yep, now it says account is suspended and blocks me from going further.

Then, I used Nextend Social Login to log in using the email address I used for my suspended account. It logs me in successfully. I was able to log in with a suspended account using Nextend Social. Is this normal? How do I stop suspended users from using Nextend Social Login to log in to my site? Thanks!

Hi @iantiu!

As I see WordPress doesn’t have an option by default to suspend accounts. Could you tell me what plugin are you using for this purpose?

How does Nextend Login know which users to deny access to? In other words, how do I stop certain users who use social login from logging into my site temporarily? Thanks!

As I see, in that article they suggested the “Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress” plugin to suspend the accounts.

Nextend Social Login has a feature called “Support login restrictions” that you can find in our General tab:

If you enable this feature, then we will support the third party login restrictions which are preventing the login over the “authenticate” or “wp_authenticate_user” WordPress filters.
It seems the “Block, Suspend, Report for BuddyPress” plugin is compatible with this feature, since as soon as I enabled this setting on my local test site, the suspended accounts could no longer login with social login either.

Now I added this plugin to our list that shows the plugins that work with our “Support login restrictions” feature:
