Banned members are able to join

We still definitely support it, and there is ongoing work on it, though not always the most steadily. Much of the recent work has been making sure access denial has been properly working like expected, and not on new features.

That said, we don’t have banning ability fully fleshed out and implemented. I haven’t figured out how I want to try and handle that. So any banning functionality you have with your site must be coming from something else. I may have left the button for it in the UI, but it’s disabled and not able to do anything.
