Banned IP is not written to .htaccess

  • I receive a mail with a notice that a certain IP address has been locked out. I can see that the IP address has been added to the list Ban Hosts. Although Allow iThemes Security to write to wp-config.php and .htaccess is enabled the banned IP address is not added to .htaccess

    When I disable Allow iThemes Security to write to wp-config.php and .htaccess and then enable the function again the banned IP address is added to .htaccess

    Seems a little strange behavior. Should it not be possible to get iThemes Security to write directly to .htaccess when the function Allow iThemes Security to write to wp-config.php and .htaccess is enabled?

    When you manually add an IP to the Banned Users field and save is it added to the htaccess?
