Bandwidth overun with Bots

Hi,

I have hosting our website on wordpress for some years now but recently we have excessive activity from Bots hitting our website and driving up the Bandwidth to insane amounts. In the past there were issues with downloadable files being accessed by the bots which were large files. However I have moved this to a more safer plugin where the bots cannot access. I noticed a drop when I transferred everything but the problem has come back

However I still have major issues with the bots and they drive the Bandwidth to over 200gb some months. I have installed Wordfence and Sucuri to try to block some IPs which I have noticed create issues but still there seems to be no solution.

I have Awstats installed on my domain so maybe this can give some insight into how to tackle them.
