Bait and switch / hijack

  • The last review says it all. Buying a well regarded plugin and sneakily switching its functionality out for something completely different is unacceptable. You’ve tricked users into installing your software on their sites via the update process. This is more or less how malware works. If this isn’t against the plugin guidelines already, it should be.
