I love you guys. Great support and nice selection of themes, but I’m sometimes baffled by design decisions that go against common sense.

With eStore, in the Featured you can’t actually click on any of the products to go to the product page… Hover over the image of a product, what do you get? Nothing except a tiny add to cart button and a magnify picture button… no way to go to the actual product itself to get more details and pictures… Underneath the Featured image is a giant add to wishlist button..but still no way to go the product… Why not make it easy on the user so they can click the image and go directly the product.

In the Handpicked items section, it’s almost as bad. There are a couple of links to the product, but no way to favorite/wishlist it and hovering over the product image gives you no link at all unless clicking in the tiny boxes. It should be that clicking anywhere on the image brings you directly to the product page…

    Is this fixable?

    Thanks

Also notice some sections don’t go to the product when tapping the picture in mobile, for example, Handpicked items…

    Hi,

To make the image clickable and hiding the icon on hovering over the product in the shop page, go to Appearance-> Customize-> WooCommerce Settings-> Archive Page Layout and check the Check to hide hover effect on Product Images in WooCommerce Archive Pages. For widgets also, you can also go to that widget and check to hide the hover effect.

As for the Handpicked items section, it is for the post and not the product.

You can take a reference for the eStore theme from the link below:

Hmm.. This should be default. Every store in the universe has it so click the image and it brings you to the product…

I tried your solution, but maybe we’re talking about two different things, because it’s still not working…. I’m talking about the pictures of Featured Products on the Homepage…

I understand what you mean about Handpicked Items being posts and not products, but clicking the image should still bring you to the article. Sorry man, but this really should be default for both PC and mobile. Make it intuitive and as easy as possible for the customer.

Same for posts in the main homepage Slider and Collections… Clicking the image should bring you the post / collection. It’s standard for the universe.

Same for Blog and Latest news, images not clickable.

We will take those as suggestion and discuss on those with our team and see about what can be done for it within theme update. So, thank you for your understanding and patience. And didn’t those option, which we previously suggested worked out to make the featured image clickable? While checking the same within our development environment, that options seems to be working all fine. So, maybe if you are taking about other issue, maybe provide us link to screenshot?

    Thanks.

Thanks for considering it with the team.

Right, I’ve set it as suggested but still can’t click the picture in Featured.

It seems you may be referring to the widget, not the shop pages, which it was for. So, for the widget settings, can you edit those widgets added in your site and then, put the checkmark on the checkbox option of: Check to hide image hover effect. available there and see if that helps?

    Thanks.

Okay. It was the homepage I was referring to. Editing the widgets fixed it, thank you. Hoping you will continue to discuss making all images clickable/tappable. This especially important in mobile
