We’re having trouble with our wordpress site (www.mumsontop.co.nz/wordpress) and making the badges that we are awarding for the different community actions appear on people’s pages. The only way we seem to be able to do it, is to award them manually as the administrators.
As a member joins a group (Southland for example) we have set a community action to trigger the badge when they join…but after getting many different people to join the Southland group no one is getting a badge!
Can you offer any suggestions, or see where we’ve gone wrong?

Just FYI – we are waiting to get this right before we import the 6800 members we are migrating from a NING platform.

I’m going to have to return to this tomorrow or so, but I have investigated a bit. I hope I deleted all test content etc that I used while I was in there, but if you see stray stuff, please feel free to clean up after me.

For some reason, it’s listing it as no access to the achievement. It’s a very odd logical point that I haven’t figured out yet.

    Will return soon

Hi Michael, how are you getting on with this issue? Any solutions for us?

    We do appreciate your help!

Slowly, to be honest. The main person that’d be able to help debug this is gone this week, and I’m at a little bit of a loss for why the requirements aren’t being met.

Should I delete them all and start from scratch (nooooo!) – do you think that would help?

No, it’s not an existence issue, it’s a true/false logic issue. Don’t go deleting things ??

Wow, just realized I had the wrong link for my “working ahead” comment. There’s a programming joke here, i know it.

Checking on this one more in depth today.

To update quick, I’ve determined, but don’t know how to personally fix, the issue of the “joins specific group” trigger not firing. Our lead developer is gone till next week sadly, and won’t be around at all until then. It’s an issue, I believe, in the Community add-on, but it could possibly trickle down into the core plugin. We’ll see hopefully soon.

Resolving the thread as we know where the issue is stemming from, though not resolved yet.

Probably bug discovered, hopefully a resolution forthcoming.

I am having a similar issue as Mums on top, but with the awarding of a badge for contributing blog posts. I am wanting to have a badge awarded for the fifth time someone posts a blog. For some reason the badge is not awarded automatically? Any idea why?

belichnitz, if you would be so kind, could you start a new thread for your specific issue, as it’s a different part of the plugin, though similar in that it’s potentially not firing correctly.
