Christina, could you provide screenshots that illustrate this graying out and where you’re accessing the library from? I’ve got my own install of 4.1 with BadgeOS 1.4.3 and am not able to recreate at the moment.

Hmm, still not able to recreate. I’m curious if there are some sort of javascript errors being displayed to your browser’s console tab.

Also always possible that other plugins are causing issues with it, though we’d need to confirm if this is happening regardless of where you’re using the media library.

Thank you for the screenshot btw, it did help even if it doesn’t seem like it.

    Hi,

I cannot see any errors in console. Happy to set up access and you can take a look firsthand. Would also like to add the code that fixes the litter issue of the thumbs. Not sure where that goes specifically, not a coder.

Thanks for your help to resolve this.

    Received the emails.

You’ll have to forgive me, but I’m struggling to connect these dots at this point, or at least struggling to recreate this at all, even with full access.

In the screenshot above, you show the grayed out media popup for a page. I went to the page editor in question and it’s a standard WordPress page utilizing some sort of 3rd party Visual builder. I’m not seeing any ties to BadgeOS itself, nor am I finding any UI element that brings up the media library that is causing the grayed out issue. Any time I got the popup to show in that page editor, the images were selectable as expected. Is there a special spot I need to click that is causing it?

Doing what I can just not seeing it quite yet or haven’t retraced the same steps.

If you’re still able to reproduce, have you confirmed that it worked as expected with BadgeOS disabled?

    Hi,

If you disable BadgeOS you get a full color media library: https://screencast.com/t/eW34EInzcQ

If you turn it on it is grayed out. https://screencast.com/t/M0Ae9Alm3K

In addition this plugin will not update: https://screencast.com/t/KbZ3HuDgEmP

    Thanks

I was getting full color with BadgeOS core enabled though, which is where my confusion is stemming from. I clicked into posts, pages, and achievement types and pulled up the media manager a number of different ways with no issues.

At this point, would you be willing to type out step by step which post/page/achievement you click into and then also exactly what you click in the editor screen, so that I can recreate exactly what you’re doing to receive that?

At this point, the only thing I can think of is something somehow related to the user being used.

    Hi,

It is happening with my tech guy as well. It is definitely conflict somewhere with BadgeOS and WP but not sure where to look which is why we need you.

Here is video cast of steps:

For the sake of testing some things, it’s me that has installed a user switching plugin so I can see if I can recreate from your account, without having to touch the passwords or give me your credentials. I followed step by step the things you did and still saw nothing wrong from my user.

Was finally able to recreate, by using Firefox 34 which is the current stable version. I use their “Developer” version as my primary browser. Interesting and investigating.

Okay cool – yes I am using Firefox. I will test on Safari now as well and I am on a Mac if that matters.

    Same deal with Safari.
