Bad navigation for single image posts

I created a post with a single image after activating Lightbox Ultimate. On opening the lightbox, navigation buttons appear. Clicking on either navigation button causes the image to disappear without being reappearing. The settings I have in the plugin are:
All images: yes
All WordPress Galleries: no
Images with a Class: no
Images with CSS selectors: no
close on background click: yes
gallery loop: no (also tried with yes)
show thumbnail images: no (also tried with bottom)
start autoplay on opening: no
autoplay interval: 5000
hide elements from mobile view: description, thumbnails
minimum image height: 200
minimum image width: 200
transition type: none (also tried slide)
