‘bad login/pass combination’ error in ecto 1.7.8

    I want to be sure I’m using the correct wp username/password combination in setting up a new ecto profile. I was pretty sure I remembered them correctly, but since I’m getting that error I thought I’d check within the WP interface. Am I right in going to Users/Your Profile? I can see my Username in the first field & below I see the password field. Just to be sure I was using the right password, I changed it to the same one I’m using in the new ecto profile.

    But when I use the username & password fr. the wp interface in the ecto profile then I get that danged error.

    Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

    Yes I did. They didn’t provide an answer but they did tell me that I didn’t need to create a new profile to upgrade to ecto 1.7.8 (though the upgrade.txt file says you do). Therefore, I could revert to my old (saved, thank God) profile & so avoid all this hassle. Everything’s now OK.
