Bad Gateway error after activating cookie

    Hi!

    I am able to replicate the following problem: After adding a trigger cookie (on popup close) to prevent future pop-ups for 1 month, I get a 502 Bad Gateway error (multiple browsers with cleared cache).

    However, I am unable to diagnose, since I am unable to log into, or even see wp-admin, for the site. I tried deleting all plugins via FTP, but the error remained. I then have to reinstall WordPress from scratch and restore from the previous backup, which takes over 20 minutes for all files and the database.

    I usually deactivaate plugins to diagnose a potential conflict, but that would take hours (days?).

    Help?

    We haven’t received any reports about 502 Bad Gateway after including cookies on the trigger. I tried to replicate the issue in my test environment, but I was not able to do so.

    I’m afraid the issue is from the server. Cookies are messages that web servers pass to your web browser when you visit sites. A 502 bad gateway error is typically a problem with the network/server. Could you please ask your hosting for the error log to see why you have encountered a 502 bad gateway?
