Bad formatting of widget title

  • The plugin doesn’t use the widget title area as a widget title. As a result the widget title has a horrible formatting. Too bad because if this was made to work like any other widget box works as far as formatting goes, it would have been a pretty good plugin.

    That said, I can see that it hasn’t been updated in 2 years now.. I suspect the author no longer supports it.

    I just tried it – still not working for me.. I have the latest WP and I know it’s not something with my WP installation or version. You can see how the Recommend a friend widget box displays under another, properly formatted box in the side par: https://prntscr.com/27vtbh

    I haven’t yet figured out how to change the title bg-foxx.. I had the same problem as you but you can get rid of it entirely and if anything place a seperate title above it…

    Just navigate to your plugins editor, go to
    recommend-a-friend/views/widget.tpl.php
    once there you’ll see the the first 2-3 lines say
    <h3 class=”widget-title”>
    <?php if ( $title ) echo $title; ?>
    </h3>

    Just delete those and no more title what so ever… I hope that helped ??
