Hi,

Probably I found a bug in Bad Bot Blocker module, after last update “SetEnvIfNoCase Referer” on my .htaccess look like this:

But when I change or save the settings once again – it back to old version:

And another problem, after checking all options in Bad Bot Blocker module – I can’t save settings in Performance module (Error 404).

I’m not sure what you mean by “old version”.

As for the 404 error, make sure there are no blank lines in your blocklist for the user agent.

Hi Michael,

“old version” means version before update (2.3.6.1).

I try to be more clear.

1. After update and enabling all options in Bad Bot Blocker – I can’t save settings in Performance module (any changes generate error 404, I think is something with: https://wptavern.com/all-in-one-seo-2-3-7-patches-persistent-xss-vulnerability).

2. Last update (2.3.9.1) fix problem with “SetEnvIfNoCase Referer” on my .htaccess.

Tested on clear WP install, AIOSP default settings, no other plugins enabled.

Thank you for reporting this. I have been able to reproduce both issues. Try resaving the settings in the bad bots module (without changing anything). That seems to “fix” the 404 error.
