BackWPup made our site inaccessible + onother issue
-
Hi there,
A couple of days ago, before cleaning the database of our magazine YesICannes.com, I used BackWPup plugin to make a back-up copy of the database.
A moment later, the site was inaccessible… the browser was only displaing a message of error 503.I contacted the provider’s support who wrote this back :
“After a small log search, we found the following error in the Apache logs:
Too many connections, uri:/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php referer: https://yesicannes.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=backwpup
This means that there have been more than 30 simultaneous connections from the same IP, for the page of your site. We do not allow more than one connection at a time on our shared servers. I suggest you check your PHP / HTML / JavaScript code. The best is to avoid calling elements of your website with an HTTP request.”
This is the first problem that appeared to be caused by BackWPup plugin…
Today, another issue: we published a new article, and… the slider of the magazine would’nt work anymore and the “featured image” would’nt show.
This time, I deleted the plugin and everything went back as usual.
Would you be so kind as to figure out what happened, for me to understand the reason of the troubles?
Many thanks in advance,
Best,
Alain
