BackupWordPress Update Crashed Site

I just tried to update the plugin and then when trying to call up the site or log into the dashboard, I got this error message: The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

For now, I have manually deactivated this plugin in FTP until this is fixed. Please provide a patch or let me know how to fix this. Thanks.
