Backupwordpress restore problems

  • I had the plugin backupwordpress installed and the backups are .tar.gz files. I tried extracting them and get an error that says “invalid archive directory”.

    I have searched the backupwordpress plugin for instructions on how to restore and can’t find any. My assumption is that I somehow have to get this .tar.gz file to a .sql file and then import through the phpMyAdmin.

    Thanks for any help or direction you can offer.
