    Hello,

I have backups scheduled to run once a week to be saved on Google Drive. It seems the backups are being saved on my GoDaddy server and not Google Drive. I’m not sure if they are even the full backups since last night I noticed the error “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully (Apr 12 19:31:29)”

    Here is the error log:
    https://pastebin.com/5H7qC2zd

Hope you can help me figure out how to only save these to Google Drive account.
    Thanks

    Hi,

It appears that the backup has been timed out.
Can you try set the split archive size to 25Mb?
    Does that resolve the issue?

    Hello,

I split the size to 25Mb and tried to back up again. It has been running for several hours and seems to be stuck. I’ve attached the latest log and a picture of the backup processing on the WP dashboard. Hope you can help, thanks.

    Hello,

My regular Sunday backup failed this evening. Errors encountered:
    * Google Drive: Failed to upload to Google Drive: failed to access parent folder (Connection timed out after 15000 milliseconds)

Here is the whole log: https://pastebin.com/fXh32bxu

I was able to authenticate with Google Drive in the past.. here is a screenshot of the current setup: https://imgur.com/a/JYpFCrE

    Hope you can help. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

“3449.100 (3) [Warning] Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please read this page: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/”

This warning message causes UpdraftPlus not able to create or complete backups. UpdraftPlus is only able to run when WordPress is loaded into memory, i.e. when the site is accessed. As such, UpdraftPlus is not able to resume the backups in good time.

I would recommend looking into this guide, which includes several suggestions to solutions and workarounds for the low visitor issue: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/

    Hi Bryle,

I reviewed the guide but I’m not sure if infrequent visitors would be the issue, I checked my analytics and there were at least 50 unique visitors each hour of the backup time last night (6pm – 8pm-ish). Do I need more visitors for updraft to run?

Also I recently started using Cloudflare for SSL / CDN purposes since the last backup.. are there any Cloudflare settings which could cause the issue?

My site also has 2 wordpress warning messages (Rest API, loopback cURL timeout), could these have caused the backup issue?

    Hi again Bryle,

Unfortunately the backup was unsuccessful again last night. “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully (Apr 26 20:20:25)”

    Here’s a link to the log: https://pastebin.com/ZPVgtQMB

    I can see I had 5 – 10 visitors around the time of the backup 8pm – 9pm.

Are you able to assist? Thanks

    Hi Bryle,

Looks like I’m getting closer to a fix. I started using uptime robot and it looks like last night’s backup was mostly successful. However it seems that the upload to Google Drive is stuck at 8% since last night. I’ve attached the screenshot below and log. Do you know why it won’t continue to upload to Google Drive?

    Hi @bonesy88

    Apologies for the late reply.

“4191.971 (7) [Warning] Table wp_statistics_visitor has very many rows (550221) – we hope your web hosting company gives you enough resources to dump out that table in the backup If not, you will need to either remove data from this table, or contact your hosting company to request more resources.”

Try to optimize the database table.

    Regards,
    Bryle
