I tried to restore a backup today, from Google Drive, and it gave me a “file not found” error. I have it set to retain 7 backup files, and if I rescan the remote directory it show that I have 7 backup files — but if I go to the Google Drive directory itself, there’s only one set of backup files there. What gives?

    Hi,

Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log?

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin and post the link here.

Do you have multiple sites backing up to the same Google Drive account?

I have only one site backing up to Google Drive. Here’s the log file:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ni8FUdrjD8D84JMUbEFiBnVmrDs1sdm_IPyvRRys-6c/edit?usp=sharing

Let me know what you find. Thanks.

Just checking in–any luck finding the problem?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.

It appears that the older backup files were deleted from Google Drive manually or by some other mechanism.
UpdraftPlus does not remove backup entries if the files have been deleted any way other than via UpdraftPlus.

How many backup sets is UpdraftPlus configured to retain? We recommend at least 2 for weekly backups, and 5-7 for daily backups.
