Backups failed

Hi someone02 are you saying that the backups fail in a local installation or on a live server?

not works only rewriting new copies in a folder

Can you check your server logs. Can you also enable debug mode. Local host file permission should not be 777. It should be 0755. However I know for a fact that depending on your operating system you might not be able to change the permissions to 0755 locally.

In regards to your live server log files. Go to WP Security -> Dashboard -> AIOWPS logs . Try the same path under Xampp.

I tried different settings.
at first it was “2”, then, during the experiments with preservation of copies, put “0”.
And drew attention that with the setting “0” all copies are retained without restriction.

2.
if I completely manually delete all copies in the directory, then I set any value greater than 0 (for example 2), the first two copies are stored correctly, and the third – will not overwrite the first, but just is not saved.

during the tests I’ve created a lot of backups manually. and sometimes, one of the regular backups overwrite an existing one. But it very rarely happens and the cause is not yet clear.

Hi I just carried out a test. In regards to your test above…

In my test I was able to carry out the same set up as you, however in my case the third copy overwrite the last backup. I did this test various times so I can safely say that it is working for me.

Your server cron job handler might be causing this issue. Have you had a chat with your server administrator?
