• Good morning – my website is running very slowly, and it is a small site. All images have been optimized, cache cleared, etc. It is so slow, that gtmetrix can’t even pull a report. I was looking through the files, and the only large files on the site (only files above 1mb) are in a folder called “application_backups.” Are those backups of my site? I have paid for daily backups. There are about 6 files in the folder, all above 124MB. I am wondering if those are backups, and if so, if I delete all but the two most recent, am I okay?

    1. You need to look at the files in application_backups. Are they backups? You need to download them and see what’s there. Also, you need to find out what’s creating them.

    2. As the files are not called from your web page, they’re not slowing anything down.

    3. I see a 1sec TTFB for your home page. This indicates that either your server is overloaded or just slow or that your site’s caching is not working properly. Please contact your host.
