BackUpBuddy not functioning when plugin is active

Hello, I’m having trouble with cron jobs not running for backups when I activate ‘Offline or coming Soon’ plugin. I’m using backupbuddy v7.2.1.1. This is what BackUpbuddy says: The blocking of access to wp-cron.php would affect WordPress task scheduling in general (not just BackupBuddys use of it) and blocking wp-admin/admin-ajax.php may affect other functionality as well so in general with WordPress if password protection is enabled it is best to “whitelist” these one way or another.

Is it possible to still allow server access somehow to these to files? wp-cron.php + wp-admin/admin-ajax.php – thanks in advance!
