  • i found the same problem on a duplicate website that I did with this plugin.

what I saw it happens is that the duplicate website that I put on another domain, tends to create the backups in the backup folder of the previous website (that is on the same hosting account). and when I try to download the backup from the duplicate website, I get the same 404 Not found page.

i managed to download the backup from the folder of the older website.

can you try uninstalling BackUpWordPress then reinstalling it?

I tried uninstalling BackUpWordPress, and unfortunately I also still get a 404 when trying to download. Weird as I have tried the plugin on many other sites and never had this issue before.

    onetrev

I fixed this issue for another user recently. Are you confident updating database fields?

It’s not my favourite thing to do…but yeah I can handle it for sure. Please let me know what I need to do to resolve this, thanks a ton!

so the easiest would be to go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php, that will list all the db options and you can edit them there.
Look for hmbkp_default_path and hmbkp_path and make sure they have the correct values.

Nice, that worked perfectly. I just messed around with the path and it was all good. Thanks!!
