Hi @tmhsupport
This error usually mean, that the backup is not valid and can’t be used for restoration. You have created the backup with PHP CLI, some hosting providers modifies this executable to block certain things, it may also mess up with our compression methods.
The other reason could be some binary-broken file, which was included in the backup. For such case we have alternate backup method.
Please, always confirm that your backup is restorable. You can simply do this by going to “Manage & Restore Backup(s)” tab. If you see your backup here, then it’s valid – the same validation method is used during upload.
If you can see the backup file but after download it still says that it’s broken.
It may be caused by unfinished download of file.
Solution for this case:
On the site where you made the backup:
1. Go to our plugin settings and open “Other options” section
2. Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w
3. Save that section
– No need to make new backup
But if you don’t see your backup file on the list, you need to make new one:
Adjust settings on the site where you made the backup:
Please open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
Find subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”
Here add these three rules, like on image: https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e
Once you do that, please follow these steps:
1. Go to “Other options” section
2. Enable alternate download method: https://prnt.sc/1slr41w (just in case)
3. Change backup method: https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa
4. Disable PHP CLI checking: https://prnt.sc/1sljr31
5. Modify query output: https://prnt.sc/1trxucl (set this value to 100)
6. Save “Other options” section
7. Force stop both processes: https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm
– After that you do that make new backup
Double check if the backup is now visible on the list, if so, you can process with the restoration on server of your choice.
Let me know if that solves your issue ??
Thank you!
