• I have several sites on one server and I would like to send my backup files to a mapped drive on the server so they are stored on a separate server. However, I can’t point the backup folder there. It fails with the error message below. I am guessing this plugin is limited to folders within the site only. However, that doesn’t make sense to store backups in the same location as the site. If the drive fails, the backups files will go with the site. Unfortunately, the company I work for does not allow use of FTP, Dropbox, Amazon, or any other service besides OneDrive. Since this plugin doesn’t support OneDrive my options are limited to the folder option. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • A folder on a backup harddrive can be used.

That is exactly what I am trying to do. I set up a folder on the server hard drive (D:/Backups/Automated-Backups) and the plugin will not write to it weather it is a mapped drive or not (in this case it is not mapped). I checked the permissions on the folder to make sure that was not the issue. Any other ideas?

Waht is it for a Webserver ?

I have complete access to the Web server. We are hosting the site ourselves. I can make changes to the folder permissions or IIS if needed. It’s running on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. Is that the info you are looking for? Thanks!

I think that are restrictions of the webserver. Sorry but i can not say what to change.
