Backup time and save location issues

The backup stopped working as it had been in that it will no longer allow me to set the time of day backups take place nor does it allow me to have the backups emailed to me as it used to. Now every time I attempt to save after selecting email backups and a designated time, it defaults back to its own random time and saving to computer instead of emailing. Frustrating. Thanks for help!
