Backup taking hours and affecting all my other sites on server

    Hey guys!

    Here’s my log. Hope you can help! I have 4 other sites that all backup fine. Just this site is the problem.

    Hello @brazmus
    to reduce server resource, please to go to BackWPUp -> Settings -> Job tab -> Reduce server load, also, don’t backup XML to reduce server resource.

    Also, I would suggest you schedule backup jobs on these sites at different times, so it’s would reduce the server resource.

    Thanks mate. Yes I have 5 websites all on different days at different times in the middle of the night.

    I changed the ‘reduce server load’ to maximum. I removed the backup for XML.

    It just hangs as seen here still…. so I abort.

    In your log file I’ve seen “[15-Jan-2021 01:03:37] Compressing files as ZipArchive. Please be patient, this may take a moment.”.
    I assume, the reason is the Zip-File method. I always see a similar stop and abort, if I want to backup with ‘Zip’. Since a few weeks this problem exists for my backups.
    Only with ‘Tar’ or ‘Tar GZIP’ the backup of my website is now working properly.

    @ludwigmmueller @brazmus yes I think so, normally Tar would help this case.

    Yep. Putting all files that had the option into a Zip or Tar GZip did the trick. Thanks!
