Backup Schedule

    I set the backup schedule for weekly for files and database and yet it is doing it on a daily basis.

    The backup is stored remotely on Dropbox.

    Why is it doing it daily and not weekly as I set it up? Dropbox is full again….

    Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the Existing Backups tab.

    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Hi Colin,

    There appears to be an issue with removing the scheduled backup from the scheduler.

    Please could you install the free WP Crontrol plugin, and open Tools->Cron Events?
    Do you see any errors or warnings on that page?

    The error is listed below:

    There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
    cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 3000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

    Hi Colin,

    It appears that there is an issue with your WP-Cron system.

    You can try activating the alternate WP Cron by adding the following to your wp-config.php file:
    define('ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true);

    This is a fallback system designed to be used when the main WP Cron cannot run.
