Backup Returning no Database

Hi I have a slight issue with a backup I am running, as its returning with all the plugins and images, but no data from the existing database:

Message:
Search and replace scanned 0 tables with a total of 0 rows. 0 cells were changed and 0 db updates were performed in 0.000007 seconds.

I have exported the database from phpMyAdmin and overwritten the db in the backup zip file and then transferred it via ftp, but this still returns with the above message.

Any help would be appreciated.
