backup question

I have a WordPress site installed in subdirectory. https://www.example.com/mysite. UpDraftPlus seems to backup everything in https://www.example.com/mysite. However, i have a lot of files and directories at the root that i’d also like backed-up. There’s no way to have UpDraftPlus back-up those too, is there?
