Backup pup latest update problems with xml in backup

    Hi,
    i have been having some problems with my backups after the last update.
    I have been getting the following error over and over again and my backups are take ages and not completing:

    [24-May-2018 21:23:38] WARNING: XML ERROR (23): EntityRef: expecting ‘;’
    [24-May-2018 21:23:38] WARNING: XML ERROR (23): EntityRef: expecting ‘;’
    [24-May-2018 21:23:38] WARNING: XML ERROR (23): EntityRef: expecting ‘;’

    And so on….
    can anyone help pls?

    If you untick XML report in the job setting, is this problem gone?

    Hi,
    I unticked it and the problem is gone but what is wordpress xml and do I need to back it up? My website has products and many different pages and in the options for xml, I can select those to back them up. I’m not sure what is the best thing to do. Obviously I don’t want to leave it ticked and not be able to back up at all but at the same time, I do want as full a backup as possible, do I need the xml backed up?

    Actually, you don’t need XML backup because of you already backup database ??
    And if you still want XML backup, you can using WordPress native XML backup and select just what kind of data do you want to backup
