Hi, I am using UpdraftPlus to take monthly backups of my site, but I can’t be sure if its meeting my 100% needs.

I have a site that’s acting as a static document library. The way I am accomplishing this consists of a few different things –

1.) A plugin called “Mediamatic” to help organize the files I have uploaded to the Media library. It allows me to create folders/subfolders to upload files to.

2.) I’m using the “Caption” field for each file uploaded to essentially create a hyperlink (“Click Here”) for each.

3.) A plugin called “Media Library Categories” which I point short-code to to have those specific items display on the different pages.

I have a few screenshots that may help ask my question, but I don’t see I can upload any screenshots…

    QUESTION:
Is there a backup plugin (free or paid) that we know for sure would back up that Captions section as well as the folder heirarchy of what’s uploaded to the media library?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Have you tried creating a test site and using Updraft to restore your content? That’s really the only way to test. As your content is stored in the database, and updraft backs that up, it’s very likely that what you need backed up is being backed up.

Hi @sterndata – Thank you for the quick response! I assume the same test would work if I created a local Test site?
